BBQ Normal Map Noise and edges artifacts

Hello!
I’ve encoutered some wierd artifacts on planar edges and noise when I bake normal map with bevel shader with Zen BBQ inside Blender. But when I bake the same model with the same bevel shader settings with native Blender baker I get nice and clean result.
Can someone explain why this is happening? The addon is great, but this noise and edges artifacts issues are ruin all my pipeline.
Here is a GIF with two normal maps preview. Noisy one is baked with BBQ (noisy), Clean one with Blender baker.
I would be glad to receive any help.

Sorry for the delay. It took us some time to investigate this issue.

In version 2.0, we introduced some tweaks to the baking algorithm. This provided improvements when baking normal maps for vertices where multiple different angles meet, but as it turned out, it introduced noise on planar polygons that are typically triangulated before baking.

In version 2.0.1, we reverted the default settings back to Blender’s native baking method. In our test scenes, this completely eliminated the noise. You can already download this update from the marketplace where you purchased the addon.

Also, please pay attention to the Zen BBQ bake presets settings.

We haven’t set any default preset out of the box, so you will need to select one manually depending on your needs or whether it is a final bake.

If you don’t select a preset, the default settings will be inefficient: the default Max Samples of 4096 is unnecessarily high for normal map baking (this is mainly important for lighting, etc.). At the same time, the AO Node and Bevel Node samples (set to 16 each) might not be sufficient for a final bake.

If you have any further questions or feedback, please feel free to let us know. It really helps us make the addon better and more user-friendly!

I did update plugin and the issue is completely solved!
Thanks for your help :folded_hands:
