BBQ back

Hi, I noticed an issue with the baking feature in zenBBQ. When I set a custom export path, the baked textures fail to automatically apply to the model after the baking is finished.

I’m getting some streaking/jagged artifacts on my normal map bake in Substance Painter. I’m not sure if I made a mistake somewhere in my workflow.

Give us an exact steps to reproduce because in my environment there are no problems with custom directories

I noticed that I can’t attach Blender files here, but I really wanted to send you my test file. The exact steps to reproduce the issue are: I modified the texture export path, and after clicking ‘Start’, the baked textures don’t display correctly once the baking is finished.

Could you please send the file via Google Drive or another file-sharing service? I can’t reproduce the same glitches on my end. This is an interesting case. It needs to be investigated.

My steps:

  1. Default cube scene
  2. Apply bevels to object
  3. Make 2 different UV Maps
  4. Bake 1 UV Map to a default directory path
  5. Bake 2 UV Map into another folder

In my case after Bake I see different results

I think I’ve figured out the issue. Do we have to switch to the Image Editor for this to work?

Maybe it is Blender bake operator behaviour. So your problem happens if Image Editor is closed? Right?

Maybe it was my English misunderstanding. I was previously in ‘Shader’ mode, but looking at your image, I realized it should be in ‘Image’ mode.

We’ve identified the cause of these artifacts. We’re currently working on a fix.
