Do you recommend ZenBBQ to me if I want to make hero assets like guns and swords that will potentially be in an fps game? Or do I stick to high poly to bake to low poly workflow? I tried doing it the vanilla Blender way and for whatever reason I could still see the shar edges of my low poly model. Does ZenBBQ make it so where it won’t show the sharp crease of a bevel, I’ll show an image of what I mean. Imported from Discord
Your question sounds too abstract. No one will take responsibility to make a decision for you, especially without seeing samples of the models you mentioned. You can see what users are doing with this addon here. <#964249579656728616> Imported from Discord
See, I’d say it’s okay let me throw money at every addon but, ever since I bought meshmachine I’m being more careful bc not having a refund option isn’t exactly reassuring, to say the least.
So basically, it won’t be results like this if I use the addon right?
Like, the addon will do a better job than vanilla blender? Or is it going to make it close to perfect like AAA industry where you Make a model with bevels which is the high poly, then bake it into a low poly that doesn’t have bevels. I’l ltry to find a quick example
So basically it can do this without showing any noticable sign of the egde when lighting hits it in certain directions?
If I use ZenBBQ, it won’t have this type of outcome?
This addon helps you create bevels in a convenient way using Blender’s bevel creation mechanism. They will look exactly as you set them. But without the addon, you can create exactly the same bevels.
Additionally, the addon does not have baking functionality, so you have to do it yourself.
