Collections in active object

When I select an object, it makes sense that the viewport shows “Collections in Active Object.”
However, after I deselect the object, this display seems to persist—as if it were a bug—which can be misleading and visually distracting.

Would it be possible to automatically hide the “Collections in Active Object” overlay as soon as the active object is deselected?

Hi, everything is working as intended. It shows the collections in Active object. Even if it is not selected, it remains active. The Blender also shows active object information even if it is not selected.

What I mean is: even after I click on empty space in the viewport (so no object is selected), the display still shows the collections from the previously active object. This can be misleading, as it looks like those collections are still relevant.

Ideally, the “Collections in Active Object” overlay should update in real time—so the moment I click on empty space and there’s no active object, that information should disappear immediately.

Object is not “previously active”. It remains still active. It still active in Blender Properties page, outliner, etc.

Even if active object is not selected we can still see all information in Blender about him
